6 tsp. | Butter |
1 Ea. | Diced Yellow Onion |
1 tsp. | Paprika |
1 tsp. | Garlic Powder |
4 tsp. | Flour |
1 1/2 Cups | Whole Milk |
1 1/2 Cups | Shredded cheddar |
1 Cup | Parmesan |
1/2 Cup | Frozen Peas - Thawed |
Step 1: Heat oven to 350°F
Step 2: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta to al dente, according to package directions.
Step 3: Grease a 9 x 13 oven-proof dish.
Step 4: Melt 1 tablespoon of olive oil into a medium pan.
Step 5: Add the steak to the pan, searing each side for about a minute. then break it apart with a spatula or wooden spoon until fully cooked.
Step 6: Remove from heat.
Step 5: Melt butter in a heavy-bottomed Dutch oven and cook onion until translucent, seasoning with salt, paprika and garlic powder.
Step 6: Add flour to coat, then whisk in milk and let simmer until mixture is reduced and slightly thick, about 8 minutes.
Step 7: Add in pasta, peas, steak and all the cheese except ½ cup of mozzarella.
Step 8: Transfer mixture to the 9 x 13 oven proof dish and top with the remaining cheese.
Step 9: Cook for 20 minutes until nice and creamy then broil an additional 5 minutes.
